#1 Learning about blogs.

My opinion about blogs... I HATE THEM! or at least I hate this one, for now. My experience with blogs so far is horrible. Before this class the only time I have ever heard of the word blog was in "Dog with a Blog," so trying to get into this blog thing I went to check out that website. Visiting http://disney.go.com/disneychannel/dog-with-a-blog/, I found out that a blog is pretty much like Facebook, I mean I know there are different types of blogs, but what I understand is that a blog is telling people what you are doing, what’s going to happen, stats on a game, etc., so I should just put my whole Facebook on my blog right? Just kidding, but after reading three of the blog entries, this is what I learned: I still do not understand blogs.

One of the blogs I read was http://livethetoughlife.com/. It is about the Spartan Race. This blog was not so bad; as I mentioned before I am an athletic person, this is a good blog for athletes, Argo i like it. It tells people what is going on throughout the course of the race. It also states the runners' name, what their favorite part was, the different types of shoes that are used, the background of the runner, how he prepares for the race, and how he trains. This blog essentially tells you the top ten in the Spartan Race and how they came to be. For people who like to run to it gives them a variety of how people workout and keep in shape.

The next blog I absolutely love! http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1991933_1991952_1993775,00.html. I LOVE soccer and LOVE David Beckham, so this is my favorite. This blog talks about the World Cup and about soccer in general, how soccer has made a comeback in the last few years. I might keep checking up on this blog since it keeps soccer fans updated on what is new and what is going on with the World Cup. It gives insight on what is going to happen in games, who we think is going to win, who are key players to watch, and so on.

My last blog is a corporate blog, http://googleblog.blogspot.com/. This is not very interesting; I can see how it can be helpful, but it is not something that catches my eye. The blog talks about what Google is going to be coming out with and what they already have out. For example, it talks about Google maps and how you explore places with it, like the Grand Canyon. It also has information on the Google Science Fair and how they are looking for the “next big thing” to change the world. You can get updated with job openings, economic growth, government ideas, etc. My opinion is that corporate blogs may not be very exciting, but they are useful for staying up to date.
